 Q. About

 A. The Validity Rating is a complex algorithm based on a sliding scale score, which is displayed as a percentage ranging from 0% to 100%. Essentially, a Validity Rating of 90% to 100% equals an A, 80%-89%=B, 70%-79%=C, 60%-69%=D, and 59% and below equals an F. All new members start with a 70% validity rating.(Please note: Any user who consistently recieves a Validity Rating of 69% or below will receive disciplinary actions up to and including cancellation of membership, and termination of bonuses such as Upload Points with or without notice by the SponsorSnag Review Board.) The weighted, numerical figure associated with your Validity Rating percentage affects your ability to effectively critique an athlete's video in the Main Competition and Worst Slam Competition.

A Validity Rating is made of two parts, which are determined by randomized Reviewer Audits (see Reviewer Audits): Local Validity Rating, and Global Validity Rating; neither of which are visible to the public.

The Local Validity Rating is a specific Reviewer Audit score that you receive from a particular review. The Local Validity affects only the weight of one athlete critique.

The Global Validity Rating

The Validity Rating ensures maximum efficiency and utmost accuracy when rating and reviewing the Main Competition or Worst Slam video entries because it removes all personal biases. Basically, a bad reviewer's critique will eventually be worth nothing, and will not negatively affect an athlete's performance.

 Q. Where can I view my Validity Rating?

Also see:

 Q. Why do I have a -30(demerit) on my "Validity Rating" page?

 A. All members start with a validity rating of 70%. As you do good reviews you work your way up to 100%. Giving a good review does not mean to give flattery(saying good things). It's all based on accuracy. You recieve +2 points for "very accurate" reviews, +1 for "somewhat accurate", nothing for "average", -1 for "somewhat inaccurate", and -2 for "very inaccurate". If you get flagged for abuse/profanity/etc., we read it and take major deductions. Be accurate!

 Q. Can you reverse an audit because I received an unfair demerit?

 A. We cannot reverse an audit once it has been completed, but we can restore your validity rating prior to the demerit. We will also investigate this matter to prevent any mishaps in the future.

 Q. What does a Review Audit consist of?

 A. The Review Audit has one question with a sliding scale of five choices. The choices include an Extremely Bad, Bad, Average, Good, and Extremely Good Review.

Bad Reviews recieve negative points, also called Demerits, and may be flagged for for an Internal Audit conducted by the SponsorSnag Review Board.

Average Reviews remain neutral and won't cause a Reviewer to either gain or lose points.

Good Reviews get positive points called Merits, which grant you more strength regarding your reviewing status.

See Profile-Validity or Profile-Validity Merits and Demerits for more information about points.

Also see: Profile, Member --> Main Comp Vid, Profile, Member --> Validity Rating.

 Q. What does a Review Audit mean?

 A. A Review Audit is used to determine the honesty and integrity of the reviewer to protect the athlete against misuse.

Also see:

 Q. Where can I view my Review that have been Audited?

 A. Review Audits can be viewed by date in the Validity Rating tab of your Profile under Demerits, Neutral, and/or Merits.

Also see: Profile, Member --> Main Comp Vid

 Q. Why did I my review get Audited?

 A. There are two possible reasons why your review was audited:

1. A member flagged your review as inappropriate due to profanity, copy-and-pasting, etc. In that case, a SponsorSnag review board member audited your review.

2. In order to unlock your reviews, you must audit someone else's review. This method allows members to maintain a high standard of honesty and integrity when rating and critiquing athletes.

 Q. Why do you have ten (10) stars rather than the traditional three or five stars usually seen in rating sites?

 A. We chose ten stars so you, the reviewer, would have a greater degree of freedom when critiquing an athlete's video. This allows you to pinpoint certain aspects of an individual's performance.

Also see: Review Footage --> Main Competition

 Q. About

 A. Preference Points are only excersized at the expiration of a contest in the event of a tie. If a tie occurs, an athlete with the most Preference Points will rank higher on the Charts.

How it works per Main Competition: An athlete is awarded a Preference Point(s) during the fourth critique of the Main Competition review set. Also known as the Athlete Comparision. The following points are allocated per ranking: Good=1 Preference Point, Better=2 Preference Points, and Best=3 Preference Points.

How it works per Worst Slam Competition: An athlete is given 2 Preference Points if their video is chosen over the lesser competition. Otherwise, an athlete will receive 1 Preference Point.
